GFRC is a new type of concrete product that has higher PSI compare to regular precast, is thinner, lighter in weight compare to architectural precast or cast stone. GFRC products can be manufactured in larger sizes and thinner in thickness compare to architectural precast or cast stone. Los Angeles Cast Stone manufactures GFRC products that can be used as veneer panels, cladding for the buildings, GFRC countertops that can have various shapes and forms. In addition, to the various shapes and form the GFRC countertops can have integral trough system and also can have larger facia compare to stone countertops. GFRC veneer panels have similar advantages as the GFRC countertops. LACS has manufactured and installed GFRC panels that were as large as 12 feet x 6 feet and only 1-1/4” thick. These type of GFRC panels are always mechanically anchored and we have used one of the best systems in the industry to fasten our GFRC products. As far as the finished, GFRC products can have smooth finish, textured and also travertine or old world finishes. In addition to those finished, the GFRC countertops can have honed finished.
